ARCHICAD is a tool for architects working in the architecture-engineering-construction (AEC) industry for designing buildings from the conceptual phase all through to construction phase. It is BIM software developed by GRAPHISOFT which enables architects to work in a BIM (Building Information Modeling/Management) environment. ARCHICAD works on two platforms: macOS and Windows.

Archicad Course Objectives:

This course introduces the students to the principles of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and shows you positive and productive ways of using ARCHICAD. It will equip the student with the knowledge and confidence to use the program quickly and effectively. The course includes a mixture of instruction, exercises, discussions and assessments to help trainees understand BIM and develop skills in ARCHICAD.

The objectives of the course are to ensure trainees understand:

  • The advantages of Building Information Modelling
  • The functionality of ARCHICAD’s principal Tools
  • The method of producing a project with associated documentation
  • Extracting basic data from the Model

Archicad Latest Updates:

Graphisoft has now launched the latest version - ARCHICAD 23. It enables architects to model faster and create accurate construction details and quantity estimations for reinforced concrete, complex steel, timber, and composite beams and columns. Complex columns, curved and hunched beams can now be modeled and documented to meet graphic and representation standards. Beams and columns can be displayed using various projected and views and cover fills.

Archicad Features:

  • Re-engineered column & beam tools
  • Introduces a new Opening tool dedicated to model and coordinate project design voids, recesses and niches — as horizontal, vertical or slanted openings across elements, element groups or even across stories.
  • Allows architects to experience real-time rendering and photo-realistic visualization with the seamless workflow of the Twinmotion live connection.
  • Enables seamless code- and constructability checking at any stage of the design.
  • Add a special emphasis on offering an uninterrupted flow starting from launching the software, accessing project data and navigating one’s way through the Building Information Model.

Archicad Course Description:

The training explores the powerful tools and techniques of ARCHICAD, used by many architects as part of their building information modeling (BIM) workflow. In this ARCHICAD 23 course, we will train students on how to set up your ARCHICAD environment and demonstrates both basic and advanced tools. It also covers the actual stages of architecture, making it easy to relate how features can be leveraged for daily, real-world activities.

Career Opportunities:

The career opportunities for architects are very high because of the boom in the construction and designing fields. They are demanded in various government and private organizations.

You can work in the sectors of construction, urban planning, urban development corporations, public works departments, interior designing, etc.

Architects have lots of job opportunities in architect firms, universities, consultancy companies, etc. Global market, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai provide attractive career and jobs for architecture graduates.

Architects can work in the office as well as in the construction site. In construction companies, they are working as a designer. You can also work independently and earn occupation through consultancy charges that is depend upon your skills, profile and experience.

As an Architect, your job in not limited to design corporate workplace rather than you have to design houses, colonies, apartments, hospitals, hotels, stadium, shopping complexes, schools, industrial complexes, etc.

Government Organizations offering jobs to the B.Arch Candidates such as Archaeological Department, National Building Organization, Ministry of Defense, Departments of Railways, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Public Works Department, etc.

Some other organizations also hire architects are: Builders, State Departments, Consultants, Local Bodies for construction works, Architecture Firms, etc.
